This is so exciting and cool! Lil Yachty has a nail polish line coming out on May 21st called Crete. He specifically designed this line for male consumers with the intent to provide for a more gender-fluid environment and combat toxic masculinity.

Complex talks about how the line is partly inspired by Lil Yachty’s self-expression, but also because of how 17-year-old Trevor Wilkinson was suspended from his Texas high school for wearing nail polish.

Speaking out on the incident, Lil Yachty said, “If someone wants to express themself in any type of way, as long as it’s not harming anyone or bringing anyone down, they should be allowed to do so. … You shouldn’t be punished or tormented for being you…” (Complex)

During a TMZ Live, he said, “it’s not just for girls and women now” (TMZ). He wants to normalize nail paint for guys as well.

He posted on Instagram showing off some of the products.

Some of the first few colors to come out will be more neutral colors, like white, black, and grey. Would you be open to wearing Lil Yachty’s new nail paint?
