Passengers Tape Drunk Man To Seat After He Assaulted Flight Attendants
TW: Assault, Harassment
On a recent Frontier flight, a 22-year-old man named Maxwell Berry became very violent with flight attendants and fellow passengers. He is accused of groping the backside of one flight attendant, groping the breasts of two flight attendants, and throwing punches at another.
The flight left from Philadelphia to arrive in Miami, which is a simple 2.5-hour flight. Too bad it wasn’t a simple flight at all.
In this video posted on Twitter and featured in the news clip below, Berry is heard screaming obscenities, telling everyone on the plane that they “f***ing suck”. He also screamed about how his parents were worth “2 million goddamn dollars”.
In an attempt to restrain him, one flight attendant and several passengers finally restrained him to his seat. They used duct tape and a seatbelt extender.

How Did It All Begin?
According to The New York Times, issues began after Berry tried to order a third alcoholic drink and grazed his cup up against the backside of a flight attendant. The criminal complaint of the incident says the flight attendant responded, “don’t touch me”. Then, after using the plane’s bathroom, Berry came out of the restroom shirtless. Crew members told him he needed to put a shirt on, and at this time, Berry groped the breasts of two flight attendants.
A male flight attendant then came to tell Berry to calm down. Berry responded by punching the man in the face with a closed fist.
Once they finally landed, Berry was taken into custody and charged with three counts of misdemeanor battery.
The President of the Association of Flight Attendants Sara Nelson said this incident was one of the worst they’ve encountered this year alone.
