How To Make Dog-Friendly Pancakes For Pancake Day (3/1)

According to Magnet, the Dogs Trust and Battersea Dogs and Cats Home say that pancakes are safe for dogs. But you should be careful if your dog may have wheat allergies or other sensitivities. This could lead to an upset stomach.
You should only serve your dog pancakes as a treat in small amounts. Pancakes are high in both carbohydrates and fat, so don’t feed them too much! Also, remember to adjust the amount of regular dog food you feed them for the day.

Super Simple Pancakes
Ingredients:
- 50g plain flour (little less than 1/2 a cup)
- 1 egg
- 100 ml water (1/2 cup)

Ingredients:
- 1 banana (cut up)
- 60g plain flour (1/2 cup)
- 1 egg
- 60 ml unsweetened oat milk (little more 1/4 cup)
Cooking Directions For Either Recipe:
- Mix all the listed ingredients in a bowl or blender.
- Place your cooking pan on a medium-high heat setting.
- Pour about 4 tablespoons of the mixture at a time into the center of the pan
- Leave cooking for about 30 seconds to 1 minute on each side (or until bubble start to form)
- Flip and cook the other side about the same amount of time
***Optional: For a little extra treat for your furry friend, add your pup’s favorite toppings which could include xylitol-free peanut butter, bananas, or blueberries.
