Music-Themed Bar Called Vinyl Opening In South End Today (5/4)
South End is getting a new dive bar that’s completely music-themed and specializes in craft cocktails! VINYL is located in between VANA and Wooden Robot off South Tryon.
They offer an outdoor patio, a groovy dive bar atmosphere, drinks, and small plates with flavors from all over the world.
This place is clearly called VINYL for a reason since they have a TON of actual vinyls stacked up all throughout the bar. Check out this video that shows what it’s like inside, from their Instagram @vinylclt:
Axios Charlotte got to visit and they shared some of the currently featured drinks and food specials. Out of these three VINYL cocktails, which would you most want to try first?
- Jenny from the Block — rye whiskey, vermouth, bitters
- Big Poppa — vodka, spiced orange cordial, lime, salted caramel coffee-infused amaro
- Superstition — vodka, campari, kahlua, yellow chartreuse, bitters
Cocktails vary from around $12 – $15. Meanwhile, the food looks so awesome too! Vinyl serves shared plates, burgers, sandwiches, and more! Out of everything, I’d love to try their Latin Street Corn ($8) with cilantro, Tajin, and tortilla chips. Oooh, and the Falafel Bites ($10) that come with arugula, lemon vinaigrette and a Greek yogurt sauce.
Check out VINYL for their soft opening starting TONIGHT (5/4) through Saturday 5/7 at 1440 S. Tryon St., Ste. 105. They’ll be open from 5 pm until 2 am.
