I remember when she visited App State, where I went to school. She performed her second studio album "Hot Pink" and I fell in LOVE with her music. I had never listened to her before, and now she's playing on the Top 40 station I work for. Pretty cool stuff!
“Planet Her” has no shortage of hits as her latest single “Woman” hit radio airwaves.
The "Tia Tamera" singer previously found great success with her other songs on the album, like “Kiss Me More” featuring SZA, and “You Right” featuring The Weeknd.
“Planet Her” was originally released on June 25, 2021, entering the Billboard chart at number two where it spent four weeks.
109k Units Sold in First Week
UrbanIslandz says “Planet Her” broke records on Spotify after it registered the highest opening day sales for any female rapper. Doja Cat moved 109k units in the first week. “Planet Her” went on to move over 1,510,000 album-equivalent units by the end of 2021.
I see videos of Doja dancing at her concerts or festivals she performs at, and that's one thing I think sets Doja Cat apart from other artists: her dancing talent. Other artists will perform, right? But, Doja captivates you during her show, like you can't ever turn away. Just look up those videos of her dancing at a show on TikTok and tell me you wouldn't love to see her perform!
The album is up for a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album and Album Of The Year. Do you think Doja Cat will win those Grammys for “Planet Her?”
