13-Year-Old Dog From New Jersey Gets Own “Bark” Mitzvah
This story of a 13-year-old dog from New Jersey is definitely the midweek pick-me-up that you didn’t know you needed. New York Post says Ruth and Craig Ellenberg from Livingston, NJ threw their dog a “Bark” Mitzvah for his 13th birthday.
The couple shared pictures of the intimate celebration with their dog, Rambo. The “bark” mitzvah included a personalized kippah for Rambo to wear, a tallit, and a Torah scroll. Of course, they also had a peanut butter cake, safe for Rambo to eat.
The couple says they love spoiling their Havanese pooch. “The kids are all away at college, work and Marines boot camp, and we love sharing fun pictures and videos of their ‘hairy brother,’” says Ruth Ellenberg.
