WATCH: First Flying Car Successfully Goes Airborne For 35 Minute Flight
This is huge news for technology!!
A Slovakian company called Klein Vision invented the first flying car. And in the last week, it successfully completed its first flight! What the company calls the AirCar Prototype 1 took a 35 minute trip from Nitra to Slovakia’s capital Bratislava.
The AirCar comes with a 160 horsepower BMW engine, and a propeller. One cool thing about it is that it transforms into a car from an aircraft in less than 3 minutes!!
The car has already done over 40 hours of test flights and has reached a flying speed of 118 miles per hour.
In a press release about the event, Klein Vision CEO Stefan Klein said, “This flight starts a new era of dual transportation vehicles. It opens a new category of transportation and returns the freedom originally attributed to cars back to the individual.”
The company is also working on a Prototype 2, which will feature a 300 horsepower engine and is expected to travel up to 186 miles per hour.
