LIST: Worst Holiday Desserts
The holidays bring around some of the BEST desserts ever! I absolutely love banana pudding, pumpkin pie, and my mom’s special eggnog. It’s special because it’s boozy 😉 But, while the holidays bring the occasion to eat our favs, it’s also the time of year when we encounter a few of the worst holiday desserts.
Got any that come to mind immediately? Maybe a certain kind of…cake?
Mashed conducted a survey of over 600 people. They asked the question, “Which holiday dessert is the one you’d least like to see in the center of the dessert spread?” And one answer was reported overwhelmingly for 43% of people: fruitcake.
After fruitcake came sweet potato pie, peppermint bark, and Yule log cake. Peanut butter blossoms also made the list, but I had never even heard them called that before. They’re the little peanut butter cookies with a Hershey kiss placed on top. After those came pecan pie at 6% and finally gingerbread cookies at 5%.
