WATCH: Lexi and Kortney Go To The Carolina Renaissance Festival
This past weekend, I finally got to visit the Carolina Renaissance Festival with one of my best friends! We drove to Huntersville for Kortney’s 25th birthday and had an absolute blast. Let me tell you all about it…
First, we started our day off by dressing up ourselves for the festival! I wore a long costume dress with some fun eyeshadow, and Kortney wore a fairy’s dress with face jewels. We looked goooooood 🙂
And it was so fun to spend time doing makeup and hair. I like being able to dress up in a costume for the day 🙂 It almost felt like a second Halloween.
When we first got there, we walked around to check everything out. We saw small shops, stages, and tons of other festival-goers who also dressed up for the day. We eventually figured out where everything was and started by entering a museum with exhibits all about medieval torture. Spooky place.
Then, we got drinks at a vendor and walked around some of the shops. There were so many beautiful pieces of art, trinkets, and pieces of costumes you could purchase. I actually ended up with a small mushroom guy who I named Jericho. He holds incense! He just lights up the room, doesn’t he? :’)
Then, we got to see a jousting tournament, which was not as scary as I thought, but just as exciting as I hoped. And we even got to see MERMAIDS!
