Harry Styles Opens Up About Having Felt ‘Ashamed’ About His Sex Life
Independent UK reports that Harry Styles is the cover model for the upcoming May 12th edition of Better Homes and Gardens. In an interview with them, Styles opened up about his sex life, his sexuality, and trusting people.
Styles assures fans that his image isn’t “queer-bait,” and says his “sexual ambiguity wasn’t so that he seems more interesting as a person.”
The singer details the time in his life when he was “ashamed” about his sex life and he admits he is currently working on issues surrounding intimacy. “For a long time, it felt like the only thing that was mine was my sex life,” Styles said. “I felt so ashamed about it, ashamed at the idea of people even knowing that I was having sex, let alone who with,” he added.
The singer says, while working with One Direction there was pressure to be a “heartthrob at the time, there were still the kiss-and-tell things. Working out who I could trust was stressful.”
As quoted by Independent UK, Harry said, “But I think I got to a place where I was like, why do I feel ashamed? I’m a 26-year-old man who’s single; it’s like, ‘yes, I have sex’,
