This is the sweetest story! A couple from Eugene, Oregon celebrated their recent 14th anniversary with a private movie theater showing of their long-lost wedding video!
Inside Edition says Kayla and Drew Gottfried married in 2007. They exchanged vows under a beautiful gazebo with 300 of their closest friends and family. At some point after the wedding, their wedding video became lost.
Recently, though, only initially told to Drew, their church’s creative director James D’anna found the tape. He found a copy of their long-lost wedding video in a box of old tapes in the church.
After D’anna told Drew about the tape, Drew decided to surprise his wife, Kayla, for their 14th anniversary. He rented out a whole movie theater. Kayla said she thought he would play one of their favorite movies, either Top Gun or Galaxy Quest.
But, as the wedding video started, Kayla says, “As soon as the gazebo popped up, I knew this is our wedding. These are our wedding videos…”
They both sat in tears watching the video they thought had been lost! And now, they have another copy that I’m sure they’ll keep forever.
What’s the biggest surprise you’ve seen for an anniversary?
