Here’s What’s Going To Be Built Where Price’s Chicken Coop Used To Be
I get so sad every time I think about the iconic Price’s Chicken Coop being gone. Now, WSOC says the same spot in South End has new plans.
One residential tower will be built spanning 1600 and 1614 Camden Road. The plan for the 30-story tower comes from the partnership between Catalyst Capital Partners and Stiles Corp. The tower will have over 290 new apartments as well as 9,500 square feet of retail or restaurant space on the bottom floor. It will also have 10,000 square feet of office space, which will be occupied by Catalyst.
The new apartments going in will be a mixture of studio, one, two, and three-bedroom spaces.
No word on how much money will be going into the large project.
How do you feel about the new tower being built where the old Price’s Chicken Coop building stood? Were you also upset when they went out of business?
