Which Sitcom Characters Would Be The Worst At Handling The Pandemic?
Most of us got through the pandemic by binge-watching TV shows. So it makes sense to wonder how our favorite sitcom characters would have handled the same situation.
The folks at BuzzFeed decided to rank 38 sitcom characters by how well – or poorly – they would handle the pandemic. At the top of the list? Believe it or not: The Office’s Michael Scott. BuzzFeed believes “The pandemic would break him psychologically months before there was even a lockdown.” I think I have to agree. Like imagine if The Office had to move to virtual meetings as many companies have done the past two years. Michael Scott wouldn’t be able to see all his favorite people every day and he would lose his mind.
Niles from Frasier, Jenna from 30 Rock, and Schmidt from New Girl would also fair poorly. I think Schmidt would get stir crazy for sure. And if everyone else is stuck inside making his space a mess all the time in the loft? He might have another breakdown like he did when he started playing his bongos all the time.
But who would do the best? BuzzFeed says Michael Scott’s Office-mate Dwight Schrute “has been preparing for this his whole life.” And it’s so true. He’d probably offer all his survival food and supplies to select employees at the office.
Others well-equipped to handle things include Phoebe from Friends, Rosa from Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Nick from New Girl.
