I always have a hard time trying to figure out what to get my mother for Mother’s Day. My mom, every year just says, “don’t get me anything,” but we all know that is unacceptable.

So anyway, it got me thinking about what moms really do want for Mother’s Day. After a few Google searches for ideas, I came across a few different survey’s and polls, and these were the big takeaways:

  • 37% of mothers choosing a good night’s sleep
  • 26% saying what they want a day off from parenting to relax
  • 13% want a nice dinner date
  • 9% want breakfast in bed

When it comes to physical gifts however, here’s a list of the percentage of moms who said they would like the following things:

  • Gift Cards – 64%
  • Flowers – 43%
  • Personal Care – 41%
  • Houseware – 39%
  • Clothing – 37%
  • Tickets to an event – 37%
  • Jewelry – 36%
  • Books – 27%

When it comes to Mother’s Day, gifts can be hard, but I’ve found that the most important thing to do is just to show your mom you love her, in whatever way works for you.

Happy Mother’s Day, moms!
