The weekend is here!
This weekend in Charlotte may be getting off to a rainy start, but there is still plenty to do. This week definitely felt like a long one, so I’m glad we have an extra day to recover on Monday for President’s Day.
If you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend, here is list of my top picks of things going on in and around Charlotte.
90s Movie Series
It’s like a drive in movie…. without the car! Grab a chair or cozy blanket, and come out to Camp North End on Friday night to watch “Fight Club”. This event is free to attend and starts at 7:30.
Katt Williams: 2023 and Me Tour
There are lots of laughs to be had in Charlotte this weekend. On Friday night, Kat Williams will be at Bojangles Coliseum. Tickets for this show range from $64-$255, and the show starts at 8pm.
Rail Trail Lights Interactive Art Festival
Stroll down the Rail trail in South End and view six interactive light installations, grab a bite to eat and explore. This event is free to attend and runs from 5-11pm.
Taylor Swift Inspired Dance Party
SWIFTIES! If you didn’t get tickets to the Era’s tour, this is your chance to dance the night away anyway! Sing your heart out to all of the hits from Taylor Swift, at Amos’ South End, starting at 8pm. Tickets start at $20.
Ladies’ Night Out
LADIES! Enjoy half-off drinks and a live DJ on Friday Night at Queen Park Social. Grab your friends and come out for free, starting at 8pm.
Pop-Up Market
Do a little shopping this Saturday at Common Market. Shop from a variety of local vendors selling vintage clothing, art, candles, crystals and baked goods. This event is running from 12-3pm
Adam Sandler
Your kids may have dressed up as him for spirit week at their school, but the real deal, Adam Sandler will be in Charlotte on Saturday night at the Spectrum Center. Laugh the night away for tickets starting at $35. The show starts at 7:30pm.
Anniversary Party
Seoul Food Meat Co. is celebrating their eighth anniversary of their South End’s location this Sunday. They will have 50-cent craft beers and a live DJ starting at 11:30.
Trivia
Challenge yourself and your friends to trivia at Trolley Barn this Monday night starting at 7pm. This event is free to attend.
Sushi Rollin’ 101
Learn how to make sushi this Monday at Heist Brewery from 6-8pm. You will learn the basics to rolling sushi, then eat your final product at this event for $65.
