A local Charlotte is raising money to help another local business that experienced hardship.

If you've driven through the Plaza Midwood neighborhood, you've probably noticed a man selling hot dogs at a hot dog stand. That man's name is Tom, and his company is Tom's Happy Hound Hot Dog Cart. He always has a huge smile on his face, and frequents many different businesses in the area to sell hot dogs.

Last week, someone stole his hot dog cart from the parking lot at Hattie's Tap and Tavern. Why people steal things from others is beyond me...

Hattie's shared footage of the thief, and also asked for the communities help. After the story was shared all over the internet, Hattie's Tap and Tavern was able to raise nearly $6,000 to help Tom replace his hot dog cart and keep his business running.

I hate that this happened in the first place, but it is cool to see the neighborhood, and community come together to help a member in need.
