Charlotte Is Getting A Popular Japanese Dessert Chain
I will willingly accept and welcome any sweet shop that is coming to Charlotte. I have quite the sweet-tooth, so I was excited when I read that popular Japanese dessert chain, Beard Papa’s is coming to Charlotte.
According to Charlotte Observer, Beard Papa’s is a cream pudd chain. They are famous for their custard-filled cream puffs of various flavors.
A new location of Beard Papa’s is opening in South End in just a few weeks on January 21st. The shop will be located at 222 West Blvd.
If you’ve never heard of the chain, here’s a little info on them, per their website.
Beard Papa’s first opened in 1999 in Osaka, Japan. Now, there are more than 400 Beard Papa’s locations worldwide, and Charlotte will be the latest addition. The store still uses the original recipe to this day.
I love cream puffs, and I do think while Charlotte has a ton of ice cream shops, and bakeries, we don’t have anything quite this specific, so it could be successful; especially in a booming neighborhood like South End.
All I know is that after gazing through their Instagram page, I definitely want to try them!
