Apparently, We’ve Been Parking Wrong This Whole Time

Parking can be such a hassle. Ever seen the perfect spot open, only to pull up and see that the cars are parked too close to the lines and you…

AUSTIN, TEXAS – FEBRUARY 20: An aerial view from a drone shows cars lined up in a parking lot as people wait to be directed to a food distribution point setup at Del Valle High School on February 20, 2021 in Austin, Texas. The Central Texas Food Bank is handing out about 2,000 boxes of food at the site to people in need after winter storm Uri passed through the area. The historic cold weather and snow from the storm has created food shortages as area stores wait for the arrival of supplies. (Photo by Joe Raedle/Getty Images)

Parking can be such a hassle.

Ever seen the perfect spot open, only to pull up and see that the cars are parked too close to the lines and you can't fit? Or have you ever parked in a spot, and someone parks so close to you, you can barely squeeze in your car? It always seemed like these kind of things were just a part of life, but do they have to be?

A video has gone viral on TikTok that shows how workers park GM Trucks, and instead of parking between the lines evenly, they park with one side of the car ON the line. It sounds ridiculous, but when you see what it looks like, it actually makes sense.

This method allows for equal amounts of space between each car, which if you're like me... means less dings on your car.

What do you think of the alternative parking method? Somehow I feel like no matter how you organize parking, there will always be those people who ruin it.
