Wedding trends have gotten a bit out of hand if you ask me. There seems to be a new wedding trend going viral on TikTok everyday, but this is one that I've seen a few times, and I'm honestly kind of conflicted about it.

In the latest wedding trend I've seen, brides are using their mother's wedding dresses, but not in the way you may think. Brides are altering their mother's wedding dresses into more modern, shorter dresses, and wearing them to their rehearsal dinners.

In some ways, I think this is an adorable way to pay homage to your mother and her big day. For those mom's that are into the idea, it makes sense in some ways; the dress has probably just been sitting in a closet for years so why not?

In other ways, It is kind of sad to me. cutting up a dress that meant so much to your mom for so many years....

I guess at the end of the day, it's all up to the mother of the bride and whether or not she feels comfortable with it.  It definitely would make the rehearsal dinner dress almost as memorable as the wedding dress in some ways, so I can see why this has become a big trend.

I wouldn't even be able to fit in my mom's wedding dress so looks like I don't even have to think too hard about whether or not I want to participate in this trend, haha!
