Man Wears Shoe Inserts After Lying About Height On Dating Apps
How far would you go to lie about your height?
Sure, many people are lying about their height on dating apps. I found this out the hard way when I was on the apps for a few years. I’m about 6 feet tall myself, and I found myself on dates with lots of guys whose profiles listed their height as 6ft but in person… there was no way.
It was also so interesting to me that people would lie about their height. After all, if you ever meet the person they’re going to find out. One man took lying about his height to the next level, however.
A viral TikTok video with more than 2 million views has sparked a big debate about; lying about your height. The video shows a man wearing what might be the most ridiculous show inserts I’ve ever seen. The caption of the video reads, “I told my Bumble date I’m 6’3,” and then continues, “Little does she know these add four inches to my height,”

While I don’t have a problem with people doing something that makes them feel more confident, I do have a problem with lying. If things work out with this date, eventually you’re going to have to tell them you’ve been lying about your height, and that would be a deal-breaker for me.
On a side note, I’m also just generally concerned about how your feet must be feeling. Those insane inserts can’t be good for your arch, or spine…
Dating these days can be hard enough as it is, so why not make it just a little bit easier by not lying? Let’s just be honest and authentic with people when it comes to dating on the apps. I promise dates will work out better that way!
