Carolina Panthers

Attending a Carolina Panthers game is a Charlotte must. With football back (Yay) who wouldn’t love wrapping up in your warm team gear and cheering on our boys? Okay…you might get a little chilly out there in the stands, but the Carolina Panthers are right here in the QC and a game is a perfect way to spend the day. Wear some gloves and go, team!

Charlotte is one of the fastest-growing cities, and if you couldn't tell by the number of cranes in the skyline, then you can definitely tell by the increased traffic.

A new study looked at a census date between 2015-2019 and found that Charlotte grew by about 19,700 people. That number doesn't even include all the people who moved to Charlotte during the pandemic (which was a high amount).

But where are all of these people coming from is the question! According to the US Census Bureau, these are the top three places people are moving to Charlotte from.

  1. New York, NY

    • Nearly 9,000 New Yorkers moved to Queen City between 2015-2019.
  2. Greensboro, NC

    • Just over 4,000 people from Greensboro moved to Charlotte.
  3. Winston-Salem, NC

    • Just under 4,000 people from Winston-Salem now call Charlotte their home.

I'll be honest, I'm surprised that Ohio wasn't on the list somewhere. I feel like I meet so many people who are originally from Ohio.

Whether you love the growth or not, it definitely is happening and not showing any signs of slowing down. So if you're someone that was born, and raised in Charlotte, and still live here now; consider yourself a unicorn.

Hi, I'm Cameron! I was born and raised in North Carolina. I'm a super tall redhead who is always down for tacos, enchiladas, and margaritas. Okay, so Mexican food is my personal favorite, but I’m not saying no if you’re trying to eat out on the town anywhere. I I am on air for middays but also the Program Director for Kiss 95.1.
