Christmas Town USA, McAdenville Lights Up This Week With Some Changes
How licky are we to live so close to Christmas Town USA, aka McAdenville?
This is the 65th year that McAdenville will transform into a Christmas wonderland. Although this year, because of the Coronavirus pandemic, will look different than previous years.
The Christmas lights in McAdenville will be lit from December 1st- December 26th.
Because of the Coronavirus pandemic though, certain traditions will be cancelled, or modified. Here’s what you need to know:
Changes include:
- A revised lighting schedule from 5:30 – 10 p.m. nightly.
- No lights will be displayed at Christmas Town Lake.
- The Christmas Town 5K will be a virtual race.
- The Tree Lighting Ceremony and Yule Log Parade have been canceled.
Event officials also recommend visiting early in the month, and on weekdays to avoid crowds.
Coronavirus may have put a huge damper on this year, but at least there will still be some amazing Christmas cheer.
