This is the 65th year that McAdenville will transform into a Christmas wonderland. Although this year, because of the Coronavirus pandemic, will look different than previous years.
The Christmas lights in McAdenville will be lit from December 1st- December 26th.
Because of the Coronavirus pandemic though, certain traditions will be cancelled, or modified. Here's what you need to know:
Changes include:
- A revised lighting schedule from 5:30 - 10 p.m. nightly.
- No lights will be displayed at Christmas Town Lake.
- The Christmas Town 5K will be a virtual race.
- The Tree Lighting Ceremony and Yule Log Parade have been canceled.
Event officials also recommend visiting early in the month, and on weekdays to avoid crowds.
Coronavirus may have put a huge damper on this year, but at least there will still be some amazing Christmas cheer.
