The Hornets Debut New Uniforms With Details Referencing Charlotte’s History
The internet was buzzing this morning (see what I did there? haha) with the reveal of the Charlotte Hornets new uniforms.
The new uniforms have bene named The City Edition uniform, and will be worn during the 2020-21 NBA season.
Not only are the uniforms just cool looking, but the details on them have a lot of references to Charlotte’s history.
The uniform celebrates Charlotteโs history as home of the first U.S. Branch Mint and the Carolina Gold Rush of the early 1800s (hence the mint, gold, and granite colors). Granite is the state rock of North Carolina.

It looks like the players are fans of their new look too! Check out Devonte Graham’s reaction to seeing the uniforms for the first time.
