Charlotte Ranks As Most Diverse City In North Carolina
Charlotte is the most diverse city in America according to a new report by WalletHub. WalletHub also found that Charlotte ranked in the Top 25 cities on the list when it came to being the most diverse. The survey only looked at Cities in the nation with more than 300,000 residents.
Diversity is extremely important. While sometimes in my opinion it can feel like Charlotte lacks diversity, the statistics say we’re actually fairly diverse.
Here’s how Charlotte breaks down:
- 41% White
- 35% Black
- 15% Hispanic
- 7% Asian
- 2% Other
According to Charlotte Observer, Raleigh was the second-most ethnically diverse city in NC, and Wilmington is the least diverse city in the state out of those on the list.
I’m glad Charlotte is diverse, and expanding in that way. Diversity is an important aspect of a successful city in my opinion.

Okay, so Mexican food is my personal favorite, but I’m not saying no if you’re trying to eat out on the town anywhere. I I am on air for middays but also the Program Director for Kiss 95.1. I enjoy connecting with Kiss 95.1’s amazing listeners and being able to bring all of my favorite things like food, wine, and life online into digital content.
