Keep Waking Up At The Same Time Every Night? This Is Why
You see it in horror movies all the time; a character will wake up at the same time every night and something spooky will happen. It’s happened to a lot of us; waking up at a specific time night after night, but what does it actually mean?
Well, there are a few potential answers.
1.) Your sleep pattern
- Throughout the night, we go through sleep cycles of REM and non-REM sleep. Each stage of sleep has different levels of how easy it is to be woken up so you could be hitting the “easy to wake” stage around the same time every night in your cycle.
2.) Anxiety
- Oh, anxiety… You’re the worst. Anxiety not only makes it hard to go to sleep, but it also can cause you to wake up in the middle of the night and have trouble going back to sleep.
3.) Hormones of Blood Glucose Levels
- Waking up often in the night could be related to your hormone or blood glucose levels fluctuating.
Luckily, being haunted was not on this list. So hopefully that will help you sleep a little easier tonight.
