Harry Styles Almost Played Elvis
Harry Styles almost had the chance to play a music icon; Elvis.
Harry Styles is no stranger to the camera. He is starring in the new movie, Don’t Worry Darling, which also happens to have been directed by his now girlfriend Olivia Wilde. He’s starring in another movie coming out later this year called My Policeman. So yes, we’ll be seeing a lot of Harry Styles this year.
In a recent interview with The Howard Stern Show to promote his new album, Harry’s House, Harry opened up about roles that he didn’t get.
He revealed that he auditioned for the role of Elvis in the upcoming Elvis biopic.
Harry says he had always been a huge fan of Elvis so the role intrigued him. Ultimately, the role went to Austin Butler instead.
There definitely would have been a whole different amount of hype if Harry had been cast in that role, but I think it’s for the best. I would be so nervous to play such and iconic, beloved character because people will always have a lot of opinions about it.
Needless to say, I think Harry Styles is doing just fine with a new album out, and two movies about to come out this year!
