I can’t believe we are already to the weekend. this weekend’s, “winter storm” isn’t turning out to be quite as bad as we had originally thought, but that means you can actually check out some of the fun events going on around town. Here are some of the events going on in the Charlotte area this weekend for you to check out!

FRIDAY
Queen’s Feast: Charlotte Restaurant Week
- Participating restaurants
- An excellent opportunity to try new dining destinations or revisit your go-to spots. 70 restaurants in the area will offer a three-course meal deal priced at either $30, $35, $40, or $45 per person.

A Snowball’s Chance Short Track Skate Race
- The Whitewater Center
- Test your ice skating abilities in a race around the Center’s short track ice rink. The winner of each heat will move on and compete in a bracket-style tournament. 9am to noon.

Mad Miles Run Club

- Whether you’re new to running, or run a mile every day, Mad Miles Run Club is a great way to rack up some mileage while making some new friends along the way.

Ticket sales will help support the Film Society’s “Independent Picture House” project, which will open in NoDa later this year.
