This Secret Ingredient Is The Key To Making Movie Theater Popcorn At Home
Popcorn is one of my favorite snacks. There is just nothing quite like a hot bowl of popcorn when you sit down to watch a movie.
Throughout the years, I have tried a LOT of different popcorns and popcorn popping techniques, but no matter how much money I spend on poppers, or butter and salt I add, I can never seem to get it right.
I started to think that there MUST be a secret ingredient that movie theaters use, and it turns out, there is.
The flavor all comes down to one ingredient: Flavacol.
If you’re like me, this is the first time ever hearing about Flavacol; which can only be described as butter-flavored salt. Flavacol is a really fine consistency, and is bright orange, which then gives the popcorn that yellow color.
Apparently, the real trick is to combine Flavacol seasoning with whatever oil you prefer. The crazy part is that this secret ingredient has been under our noses the whole time; in fact, you can purchase Flavacol on Amazon!
