Can you believe it snowed this week? The good news is, the weather this weekend is supposed to be sunny and in the 50’s. Perfect weather if you’re wanting to get out and about. Not to mention, there are plenty of things to do around town this weekend. Here are some events going on around town:

Angeline’s Pinots of the World Wine Dinner

- Knight Theater
- Pets are taking the stage and will be performing a routine of tricks. All event proceeds benefit Stand For Animals, a nonprofit veterinary clinic.

Queens Gone Wild! Mardi Gras Drag Show
- Rooftop 210
- See a Mardi Gras-themed drag show, led by the queen of Charlotte, Buff Faye. There will be plenty of drinks, dancing, and Mardi beads to go around.

SATURDAY
Ilegal Mezcal Tasting

Mardi Gras Bike Parade
- The Plaza
- Dress yourself and your bike in Mardi Gras-themed gear for a loop around The Plaza, and stick around for a party at Holy Trinity afterward. If you live in The Plaza, feel free to party on your yard and cheer on the bikers.

Mardi Gras Celebration

- Expect beer, food by Bayou Betty and Caribbean Buzz Food Truck, and live music.

2020 Allstate Hot Chocolate 15k/5k Charlotte
- First Ward Park
- Opt for the 5K or 15K, if you’re feeling extra ambitious. There will be various sweet stations along the course, and you get a cup of hot cocoa with other treats at the end. The race benefits Make-A-Wish.

Hornets vs BKN: Miles Bridges Bobblehead Night
- Spectrum Center
- The Hornets are taking on the Brooklyn Nets, and the first 7,500 fans will get a free Miles Bridges bobblehead.

CLT Donut Festival
- Norfolk Hall – 2905 Griffith St.
- The sweetest festival around, the inaugural CLT Donut Festival features the cities best donuts, and coffee, juice, smoothies, and more. Expect music, games, and vendors, too. Note: VIP tickets include alcohol.

Fat Sunday
- Brewers at 4001 Yancey
- $15 gets you a pound of the boil (crawfish, sausage, corn, and potatoes) and a King Cake cupcake. They’ll also have Hurricane specials, beer specials, a jazz band, and masks and beads.

Wedding Showcase
- Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden

Recovery Drag Brunch for Equality

- Support the Human Rights Campaign and treat yourself to brunch and a drag show.
