Taylor Swift To Star In A Theatrical Adaptation Of The Musical Cats
This cast list is INSANE!
We all know how much Taylor Swift loves cats! Well, she just took her love of cats one step further; the pop star was just announced as one of the cast members in the upcoming theatrical adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s iconic Broadway musical Cats.
The film will have other big stars too; Jennifer Hudson, Ian McKellen, and James Corden are all also part of the cast.
Production is scheduled to begin in the UK later this year.
The Cats musical is based on Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats by T. S. Eliot and tells the story of a tribe of cats called the Jellicles and the night they make what is known as “the Jellicle choice” and decide which cat will ascend to the Heaviside Layer and come back to a new life.
While we’re excited about this news, we can’t say we’re too surprised. Taylor is a self-proclaimed cat lady, and loves sharing videos of her cats on her social media frequently.
