Lizzo Announces Tour And She’s Coming To Charlotte
Another relative newcomer to the scene, Lizzo is beloved for her fun, positive, uplifting music, and for how transparent she’s been about how difficult it is to break into the industry. What makes her radical message of self-love even more powerful is that it’s coming from a Black, plus-sized woman—all adjectives that are often rejected by modern culture and media—in an unapologetic, frank, and accessible manner.

Lizzo announced this morning that she is headed back out on the road this year. One of her stops is in Charlotte. Lizzo is bringing, “The Special Tour” to the Spectrum Center on October 20th this year. Latto will also be joining Lizzo on the road as an opening act.
I went to the last show Lizzo did in Charlotte at the Charlotte Metro Credit Union Amphitheatre and it was one of my favorite live shows I’ve ever seen. The best way to describe a Lizzo show would be church, with some twerk. I’m so excited that Lizzo is coming back and it will be really cool to see her in a bigger venue like the Spectrum Center.
