South End Is Getting Yet Another Brewery, But This One’s From Asheville

It’s almost become expected at this point; every other week, we see a report about a new brewery popping up somewhere around Charlotte.

Well, news broke today that South End would be getting a new brewery. Hi-Wire Brewery, which you may know from Asheville will be opening a location in Charlotte. The nearly 9000 square foot taproom will include 21 taps of Hi-Wire beer, 2 wine options, and a cider option as well.

The taproom will open on 330 W. Tremont Ave later this year. It’s so wild to think that only a few years ago there were none of these bars on Tremont, and now they are popping up left and right.

Fun fact: Hi-Wire will be the second Asheville-based brewery coming to Charlotte this year; Burial Brewing Company is opening a location in Plaza Midwood very soon.
