An 8th grade North Carolina teacher is not too popular with parents right now in that school district. The teacher is in trouble after giving students a ‘curse’ word assignment.
The teacher from Graham Middle School in Graham, North Carolina reportedly is in hot water for giving students a ‘Bad Words’ assignment. According to WFMY, the students were given a cuss word. Then the kids were asked to use it in a written assignment. Graham is located near Burlington.
Twenty students were reportedly given the task. Naturally parents were not too happy to look over the homework and see BS spelled out fully and in big bold letters. Some words many consider much worse than that were also used in the assignment. The school district is reportedly investigating.
So why in the world would a teacher give such a controversial assignment ? It reportedly is in response to students using profanity too much in the classroom. Parents were not amused with the teacher’s method of correcting that.
Here is a fun fact, according to a new study the average adult says their first curse word by 1045 am everyday. That’s adults. A North Carolina teacher is in trouble giving students a ‘curse’ word assignment.
