I really haven't met a fried chicken I didn't like. And lucky for us in North and South Carolina we have lots of establishments to choose from. We are about to get more. A popular chicken chain is expanding into North Carolina. And this might just be something we haven't tasted before or at least not here.
Popular Chicken Chain Expanding To North Carolina
This popular chicken chain comes to us from Los Angeles, California. And according to the Charlotte Business Journal, The Red Chickz is a "fast casual restaurant" and boasts the "crunchiest, most flavorful Nashville hot chicken. They plan on bringing 10 restaurants to the Tar Heel State.
4 in Charlotte, 4 in Raleigh and 2 in Greensboro
Developer Kamran Awan is reportedly planning to have four restaurants in Charlotte, four in Raleigh and two in Greensboro. This quote from Awan in the Charlotte Business Journal, “I think the market is very hot for this concept, and there’s not really anybody close that’s probably going to be competition.” Right now, they are looking for space.
Here's What We Expect From This Popular Chicken Chain
Awan says he hopes to open up in Charlotte in 2025 and he needs anywhere from 1,800 to 2,000 square feet to get business done. In another direct quote from our source, the Charlotte Business Journal, “We want to make sure the ones that we open are profitable, customers are happy, reviews are good. So yes, there is room, but we will be very calculated with how much more we need to expand”.
Here is what you can expect from The Red Chickz," It dishes up all natural, 100% hormone- and antibiotic-free chicken that is hand breaded. Breaded cauliflower and jumbo shrimp provide other options for those who want something other than chicken". This popular chicken chain already has four spots in California and Texas and they are planning on 24 more. The pictures are already making my mouth water.
