Several weeks back, Nicki Minaj teased us with a snippet of the new song "Super Freaky Girl" on her Instagram page. Since then, the song debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 (the first solo female hip-hop artist to do so since Lauryn Hill back in 1998), and now the official video has dropped.

The song samples Rick James' 1981 smash "Super Freak" - so it's only right that the Queen cosplays the original Super Freak in the video, as well as supplying plenty of pink as her Nicki Barbie persona. Playing Ken to Nicki's Barbie is Alexander Ludwig ("Hunger Games"), and the video was directed by Joseph Kahn. The technicolor clip is everything one would expect from an artist who just accepted the Video Vanguard Award at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards.
