Spotlight Video of the Week

For over two decades, Pink has consistently made “greatest women in music lists” even while never being as popular as other artists in her class like Britney and Christina. Still, she’s had more staying power and longevity, thanks, in large part, to her authenticity and refusal to make the more expected move over the one that feels truest to who she is. As a result, Pink has sold over 16 million albums, had 23 songs hit the Billboard Top 40, and headlined Super Bowl halftime shows, international tours, and “SNL.”

Pink has been on the receiving end of a lot of criticism from online trolls, and she’s channeling her feelings toward that into song. The singer just dropped the brand new track “Irrelevant,” after teasing fans with the news by tweeting…

The protest anthem, in which she urges folks to stand up for their rights, will raise money for When We All Vote, the national, nonpartisan voting initiative created by former First Lady Michelle Obama.

“As a woman with an opinion and the fearlessness to voice that opinion, it gets very tiring when the only retort is to tell me how irrelevant I am,” Pink shares in a statement. “I am relevant because I exist, and because I am a human being. No one is irrelevant. And no one can take away my voice.”

And fans are certainly behind Pink 100%.

    • “Thank you so much, for always knowing what to say and how to say it ❤️, one fan commented, while another added, “Such a great song! It captures everything that’s happening right now. RELEVANT.”
    • And one person noted, “Love it!! It’s the new women’s anthem!! We’re sick of their sh*t!!
