Summer officially starts on Sunday! Hanging out in the backyard listening to music and playing backyard games with friends is one of my favorite things to do in the summer. If that’s what you’ll be doing a lot of this summer, impress your friends with these fun summer facts according to Best Life:
- “Dog days of summer” comes from the “Dog Star” Sirius that rises in late July(Also my favorite Florence and the Machine Song).
- The world’s largest scoop of ice cream weighed 3,010 lbs.
- We’re happier in the summer! Some think it’s literally because there’s just more sun.
- The size of the Eiffel Tower increases 6 inches because the metal expands from the heat.
- We’ll eat around 150 million hot dogs Fourth of July weekend.
