HOUSTON, TEXAS - JULY 25: Backpacks are displayed in a Walmart Supercenter on July 25, 2022 in Houston, Texas. School districts around Texas have begun requiring students to use clear backpacks following the school shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. (Photo by Brandon Bell/Getty Images)

These are the trendy high school backpacks for the school year.  They look like they could fit a book, a notebook, and a couple of writing utensils.  You know, like a first or second grader would wear.  High School seniors are flocking to store shelves to find their favorite bags to stuff with their books during the 2023-2024 school year.  They’re doing it for nostalgia purposes and I think it’s brilliant.  This got me thinking back to the first backpack I ever had.  I would’ve obviously been in first grade which would’ve been in 1992 or 1993.  If I remember correctly it was a Jurassic Park backpack because the movie was about to come out which terrified me.  I think it was a black backpack with a T-Rex and other dinosaurs on it.  The students are also doing this to show how far they’ve come and they’re treating it like a celebration.  Check out a couple of the TikToks that explain why these are the trendy high school backpacks for the school year below!

Kids in Dallas-Fort Worth Tx do this, not sure about all of Tx. Do kids in other states do this? #backtoschool #highschool #backpacks #trendy #cool #anyoneelse
