A Groom Said I Do And Immediately Checked His Phone

A groom said "I do" and immediately checked his phone.  People immediately started commenting on Twitter.  Nobody has spoken out on his behalf explaining what he was actually doing.  For that reason, I'm not here to judge and assume.  Maybe the dude's a planner?  He could've been checking to make sure the reception was ready for their arrival.  In hindsight, I would've done that for my wedding.  My wedding DJ messed up our cake-cutting song.  We wanted "Sugar" by Maroon 5.  Instead, we got "Sugar We're Going Down" by Fall Out Boy.  Not exactly the same message.  I would've loved to have sent a text to the DJ to make sure he had all the music ready for the reception activities.  Could this be the reason a groom said "I do" and immediately checked his phone?  Only his new wife knows and he shouldn't be immediately judged.
