The Average Age When Kids Will Start Liking Veggies Is 22
Like most little kids I really wasn’t a fan of vegetables. Vegetable soup or chicken pot pie was about as far as I’d go. My mom always did a good job of making dinner and including basic vegetables that I had to at least take a few bites of. It doesn’t mean I enjoyed it and smothering broccoli in melted cheese was absolutely out of the question. It definitely wasn’t until my early 20s when I actually appreciated a vegetable either as a snack, part of dinner or a Bloody Mary. I read a recent study done by SWNS and it said that the average person doesn’t start appreciating and embracing foods they avoided as kids until at least 22 years-old! The three that they’ll commonly eat are broccoli, kale and Brussels sprouts! This info also reminded me that it’s never too late to promote healthy eating, even if you’re kid is 20 years old.
