Here Are 5 Things We’ve Been Spending Less On Since The Pandemic Started
What a difference a year makes when it comes to spending habits. Working from home a year ago really opened my eyes. My wife’s office was at our desk in the living room and I was set up in the kitchen. Well, that is until I had to do studio work. I lined blankets all around the guest bedroom closet so the sound was compressed. I used Christmas lights and Bonnaroo camping lights to see because the normal closet light would roast me after 10 minutes. We both eventually found our routine working from home and did the best we could. I eventually realized how much money in gas we were saving because we weren’t driving that much. Turns out, we weren’t the only ones. Here are 5 things we’ve been buying less of since the pandemic started according to SWNS Digital:
- Clothes – I bought my first new t-shirt last week! The last time I bought a new t-shirt was the beginning of 2020.
- Cosmetics – My wife just updated her makeup inventory because she’s going back to the office in July.
- Transportation and Commuting – I drive a Jeep and was only filling up once every 4 weeks. When I’d get low I’d drive my wife’s car because it gets much better gas mileage.
- Entertainment – Streaming shows entertained up. And beer pong. That’s always on hand.
- Alcohol – We spent less?
