One Of My Favorite Restaurant Chains Closed It’s Doors In South Charlotte
I love eating a good lunch! I love me some sandwiches and places with lots of options. That’s why I was bummed out when I heard that one of my favorite food chains has closed its doors in South Charlotte. McAlister’s Deli has shuttered its operations at The Arboretum Shopping Center off Providence Road and Highway 51.
The deli chain still has 3 other area locations around Charlotte and one that’s closer to my house. My wife’s family is near the Arboretum, so that location for me was convenient when I wanted a sandwich or even a spud!
I’m not sure why they closed this location. Honestly, the whole Arboretum itself is going through changes. The movie theater is gone, Chili’s is closing soon and Omega Sports closed up shop after the pandemic. The parent company for McAlister’s runs Moes and Schlotskys deli. Maybe they feel those brands are performing better. There’s no shortage of Moes around Charlotte haha.
The good news is when I find out one of my favorite food chains closed its doors a new one seems to open, which is nice. I’ll try and keep you updated on these openings and closings as they happen!
