Big Changes Coming To Restaurant Hickory Tavern Here’s What To Expect
One of North and South Carolina’s most popular bars and restaurants is in the news. According to the National Restaurant News website Hickory Tavern has some big changes coming soon.
Hickory Tavern’s all 21 locations now have a newer streamlined menu and a new bar program. Former Firebirds Wood Fired Grill CEO Mark Eason is now running Hickory Tavern. After 9 months on the job he’s ready for even more growth.
Eason, who served as the CEO of Firebirds for 12 years, assumed the CEO title at Charlotte, N.C.-based Hickory Tavern last December. He immediately started changing operations at the casual dining brand, which first opened in 1997.
Staffing the individual restaurants is an issue as well. Like so many dining places, covid 19 hurt the industry’s force. So Hickory Tavern is “streamlining operations and removing steps has helped make the workforce easier to train,” according to Eason. Next year all the restaurants will get a dining room makeover as well.
