Not sure this is a list the Queen City will necessarily be putting in the Chamber of Commerce packet but here we are. 1 of the top sweatiest cities is in North Carolina. America's sweatiest cities have been named. And this is really no surprise. Weather experts factored in not only the heat, but say it with me, the humidity.

1 of the Top Sweatiest Cities Is In North Carolina

There are actually 2 cities in the southeast on the list. Atlanta, Georgia is on the list and so is our little corner of the country in Charlotte, North Carolina. Austin, Texas also makes the hot hot hot list. Even in May our Texas friends were enduring 100 degree temperatures. That has only happened six other years in recorded history according to our source The Daily Mail. And those records started back in 1898. Austin is hotter than Charlotte for sure. Temperatures have reached as high as 110 . And that doesn't factor in the humidity.

Charlotte and HotLanta

In 1879, Atlanta's summertime temperature hovered around 82 degrees. This June the Georgia metropolis was the cities second hottest in recorded history. So, what we are saying is, it's hot folks. Not much of a news flash there.

sweatiest cities.

48 American states issued heat advisories just last week. Authorities urge you to check on your elderly neighbors and make sure they are staying cool. Keep your pets inside and be mindful of their little paw pads if you have to walk them on a hard surface. Many are dipping their toes in pools, rivers and oceans. And for those of us that just melt, the air conditioning is the place to be. For more information about the sweatiest cities in America, get details here from the Daily Mail.
