Google Chrome Is Being Repeatedly Targeted By Hackers
If you use Google Chrome, update it ASAP.
About two billion users worldwide use the browser, and right now it’s the prime target of hackers. A hole in the program’s backend was found by the bad guys, so for the fourth time in two months, there’s an urgent update for Chrome.
Google blogged, warning users to not only update now, but keep on top of doing so. It affects Windows, Linux, and MacOS, so it’s a big deal.
Chrome’s had eight zero-day hacks (where hackers are known to be exploiting a vulnerability before Google is able to patch it), this year.
To update your Chrome browser, navigate to Settings > Help > About Google Chrome. If your browser version on Linux, macOS and Windows is listed as 92.0.4515.159 or above you are safe. If not, it will update, but’ you will need to relaunch your browser.
