There was a Secret in the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree
A baby owl found nestled in the freshly cut Rockefeller Center Christmas tree in New York should be soaring with his buddies in no time.
According to the wildlife center in New York, one of the workers who helped transport the giant tree to New York City last week discovered the little bird and took it in. They later took him for rehabilitation.
It seems this is a very special owl. First of all, it is the smallest species of owl in the northeast, and babies are typically born in the spring and not in November. The little guy was malnourished and frightened so the wildlife center gave it some fluids and some mice to eat. Once the owl gets a clean bill of health from the vet he will be released back into the wild.
