I'm certainly a dog person just like much of the country is. It's hard not to love our furry friends. They are loyal and always there for you! According to research shared with us by our friends at Forbes Advisor, an estimated two-thirds of U.S. households own a dog. And 85% of dog owners consider them a part of their family. You 15% who don't I have a lot of questions for you! These statistics were part of a larger study conducted by Forbes Advisor about the most popular dog breeds state by state as well as nationwide. What do you think the most popular dog breed in North Carolina is?

It's a bulldog! Now the research didn't specify whether this is a French or English Bulldog. Or a combination of the two. Above is a photo of an English (this Uga the University of Georgia mascot). Forbes Advisor surveyed 10,000 dog owners across the country to find out which breeds are the most loved. The survey options included the top 25 most popular breeds nationwide, according to data from the American Kennel Club (AKC).

While the bulldog took the crown as the most popular dog breed in North Carolina (but somehow not Georgia?), it wasn't the nationwide favorite.
