Hilary Duff Shares Very Personal Moment With Daughter at Her Waterbirth
Hilary Duff just shared a beautiful moment with her daughter following her waterbirth a few months ago.
The video shows the moment her newborn reached up with both of her arms to hug mom just minutes after coming into the world.
Her daughter, Banks, was born on October 29 and as Duff says, the time seems to be flying by.
Duff admitted that she debated whether to share the beautiful video, but ultimately decided it was so special that she wanted to share it with the world.
“I’ve been wondering for a long time if I would ever share this video as it is extremely personal,” she wrote. “It was so absolutely lovely and rewarding(and shocking) that after giving birth to my baby girl we hugged …for the first time, In my mind I like to believe that she was saying good job mom. Go team go. We did it. Together.”
“Matt provided such a safe calm strength, my mommy and sissy were there to cheer me on, and of course my birth angels to make sure all was well and big brother (downstairs deep in legos),” Duff added. “I cannot believe this day was only 5 months ago!! It seems like B has been here with us all along. The time is already going so fast..she tried avocado yesterday! Anyway… feeling blessed for this full hectic life and all the people in it. Happy 5 months Banks (oh and thanks for quitting colic) that was a doozy ( @rebeccacoursey_photosandfilm ).”
Duff’s Instagram is chock full of beautiful photos of Banks, like this one:
She also often shares photos of her son, Luca, who is 7 years old.
Duff has been candid about motherhood and how it changed her life.
“It’s such a wonderful experience and obviously life-changing and altering,” she’s said of becoming a mom. “You just don’t even know until you have a child what that bond does, and how it changes you, and what you learn.”
