Former Disney Star, Skai Jackson, Confirms She’s Expecting Her First Child

Congratulations are in order! Skai Jackson has officially confirmed she is pregnant and expecting her first child. The 22-year-old actress confirmed in an exclusive with PEOPLE that she is expecting with her partner (who she has not publicly identified).

“I’m thrilled to begin this new chapter in my life... embracing motherhood and diving into new acting projects. My heart is so full!” said Jackson to PEOPLE. Jackson told PEOPLE that throughout this journey she has been close with her mama who raised her successfully as a single mother when she was growing up.

She says that her mom has always taught her to "stand up for what I believe in and fight for what is right.”Jackson's mama posed alongside her in exclusive photos captured by PEOPLE. “I thank her for that because, without her, I probably wouldn't have a lot of the confidence that I do now.”    

For months, people have speculated that the former Disney star was expecting after an earlier altercation with her suspected child's father. Later on, there were paparazzi photos captured of the actress running errands with what resembled a baby bump.

Although she never addressed anything on her own, she is ready to announce it now! Jackson is excited about this journey into motherhood and shared some advice for some of her fans. "Let them know that anything that they want to do in life, they can achieve it," said Jackson.
